Situated on the north end of Vancouver Island, Mt. Cain offers a unique experience for skiers, snowboarders and backcountry explorers. Only a short drive (roughly two hours) from the north end of the island or Courtenay and Campbell River area, Mt. Cain is ideal for families and snow enthusiasts of all skill levels. Whether you like steeps or cruisers, Mt. Cain's wide variety of runs are designed to offer something for everyone. The mountain's 18 runs cover 1,500 vertical feet and have an average mid-season base of 120 inches. At Mt. Cain you'll find untouched powder that has built up over the week, virtually no lineups for lifts and the friendly, welcoming atmosphere of a family oriented mountain. Mt. Cain is operated by a nonprofit society and is the largest regional park in the Mount Waddington Regional District. With uncrowded runs, reasonable prices and a friendly atmosphere, it's a great place to bring the family.
