Long range forecast / discussion...November 18 to 25.LONG TERM...The Fall of 2009 will be turning wetter toward mid-November. A cool and wet fall
season is expected overall. The winter of 2009-10 is expected to see much less snowfall,
especially when compared to the record amounts seen in 2008-09. Thanks to El Nino,
conditions should be milder, drier and windy for the upcoming winter season. However,
there will be periods of very cold weather, especially near the "full moon" cycles in
December, January and February.
For those who want to know, it looks like an El Nino SST pattern is developing and strengthening. We do not think this will be a dry summer compared to average, in fact it may be a bit wet, but we do expect a milder and less snowy winter with increased wind conditions. CM
