--OVERALL SITUATION TODAY>>> We expect a noticeable change to mostly cloudy skies, chilly temperatures, and showers all day (scattered to numerous) as a low pressure system moves through. We could see rain totals in the 1+ inch category across large areas today. Some strong and moist outflow from a huge thunderstorm complex last night on the plains (Texas to North Dakota) has swept in (dewpoints up by about 10 degrees) to the front range, and overall we expect today to be quite active after a lull this morning. This evening and tonight looks cold enough for some light snow across the resort.

--TOMORROW THROUGH 6 DAYS - Saturday - We are between low pressure systems with a "trough" over the Rockies, looking unsettled enough for isolated morning showers and scattered afternoon and evening showers and thunderstorms. Another low pressure system moves in overnight with scattered to numerous showers possibly firing up again.

Sunday - Another low pressure system, stronger, moves through with chilly air and some scattered to possibly numerous rain/ snow showers again possible. More significant precipitation totals are possible.

Monday, Tuesday - Skies should clear out for early next week with warming temperatures under weak high pressure and a dry, "zonal" pattern aloft developing...afternoon west winds are expected.

Wednesday - Strong low pressure once again develops over the Pacific Northwest from the Gulf of Alaska, driving increased moisture and instability in across Colorado again with an increase in showers and thunderstorms expected into Thursday. CM
