From the last update on Oct 23 (11 days ago, still on track) "It looks like we will be seeing a major changeover to the weather in the Alps after Halloween, with some very cold air and energetic storms expected to visit the region." It looks on track...

As of today, we can see a strong low pressure system moving through the Alps with snow levels above 1,500 meters (5,000 feet). Snow is falling on most resorts, but rain in the villages.

By Monday night and Tuesday (Nov 4-5) we expect snow levels to drop to near 1,200 meters or 4,000 feet, with continued snow, under 10cm below 1,500 meters and over 20cm above 1,500 meters (5,000 feet) as a stronger and colder system moves through.

After a mid week short break from snow and "weather", another cold storm, this one colder, moves through the Alps next weekend, the 8th - 10th of November, with 10-20cm of snow possible, more on upper mountain areas, and a few cm or more in the villages as snow levels plummet to the valley floors with this one.
