Updated Thursday, 0438L PST, November 14, 2019 -

Today expect some sun mixed with clouds, and an approaching storm. This evening through Friday evening (Nov 14-15th) the next storm moves through across southwest Canada, with energy and moisture looking decent enough to deliver 1/2 foot of snow or more above mainly 4,000 feet (mid and upper mountain Revelstoke, all of Kingfisher Heli), with (1,200m).

Saturday and Sunday expect 2 more waves of energy to move in off the Pacific, for moderate to heavy additional snow piling up, mainly above 4,000 feet (1.200m) on Saturday, and 5,500 feet (1,650m) as warmer air creeps in on Sunday. There is a lot of moisture expected, and with moderate energy and dynamics expected, we could see a total of 25-30cm above 5,500 feet (all of Kingfisher Heli, and mid-upper mountain Revelstoke).

Monday and Tuesday expect a stronger storm to move in across southwest Canada, with snow levels starting near 3,000 feet, rising to near 4,000 feet or so, and heavy snow above snow level, probably near 25-30cm again (1 foot), but from this one storm, 24 hours total. Snow should start late Monday/ Monday night. Kingfisher Heli should be nicely covered in snow by now. We need some lower snow levels for Revelstoke to get a good base, but that is coming next week.

Wednesday and Thursday (20-21st) expect a colder storm to move in, with lower snow levels now, close to Revelstoke's base (near 2,000 feet, 600m). Moderate snow amounts are possible, but to lower elevations, so we accept and approve! Meteorologist/ Chris Manly

LONGER RANGE OUTLOOK: Expect stronger and colder Pacific storms to continue moving in across the western US and Canada, as large scale low pressure sets up, to affect Revelstoke and Kingfisher with frequent snows for the rest of November, and cold enough air temperatures for top to bottom snowfall at the resort elevations including Revelstoke as we approach the 25th and move through the 30th especially. Moderate to heavy early season accumulations are expected to set us up for the American Thanksgiving holiday (28-31 Nov)!
Expect a colder and more snowy winter this season. We are in a neutral ENSO pattern (no El Nino or La Nina), leaning to La Nina this winter 2019-2020 I would say. This should produce favorable weather patterns to deliver regular snowfalls to British Columbia for Revelstoke and Kingfisher Heli! Meteorologist/ Chris Manly
