...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 6 PM THURSDAY TO
MIDNIGHT MST FRIDAY NIGHT ABOVE 8500 FEET...

* WHAT...Snow expected Above 8500 feet. Total snow accumulations
  between 4 and 8 inches. Winds gusting as high as 35 mph.

* WHERE...Gore and Elk Mountains/Central Mountain Valleys.

* WHEN...From 6 PM Thursday to midnight MST Friday Night.

* IMPACTS...Travel could be difficult at times. The hazardous
  conditions could impact the Friday morning and evening commutes.

This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for northwest Colorado, southwest
Colorado, west central Colorado, east central Utah, northeast Utah
and southeast Utah.

.DAY ONE...Today and tonight.

A storm system arrives from the northwest this morning. Most mountain
ranges will see snow showers during the afternoon, and valleys may
receive a light dusting. Travel impacts will primarily be over
passes.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday.

Snow continues through Saturday morning. Bands of precipitation may
rapidly deteriorate travel through mountain valleys and passes on
Friday afternoon and evening. By the end of the storm, 4 to 10
inches of snow are expected over northern and central Colorado
mountains. 2 to 6 inches are expected over the San Juans.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Spotter activation is not expected today or tonight, however
spotters are encouraged to report snowfall amounts to the
National Weather Service in Grand Junction.
