THE NEXT FEW DAYS: Today through Friday (19 - 21 Feb) A quick shot of snow moves through this late afternoon/ evening as a fast moving and moisture-starved upper level weather disturbance passes through from out of the northwest. Otherwise, expect high pressure ridging and mostly sunny skies, to some clouds at times as moisture, mostly upper level moisture, passes through. Meteorologist/ Chris Manly

Saturday and Sunday (22-23 Feb) a low pressure system moves through with what is expected to be significant snowfall for all areas as it passes through, best for Aspen and southwest Colorado (heavy snow) Saturday afternoon through overnight, for some freshies in Aspen on Sunday, and more snow on a colder Sunday, best for northwest facing slopes.

Monday and Tuesday (24-25 Feb) another low pressure system moves through, this one more out of the north and with less moisture, but strong dynamics and winds, plus better water to snow ratio, for that light, dry, fluffy powder that Colorado is so well known for. Things are looking good!

LONGER RANGE: After Feb 25, through early March, more high pressure ridging dominant weather patterns are expected, with not much snow for Western Colorado as any storms mostly move in on a northwest flow (high pressure centered to the west), due to low pressure targeting the plains states and areas eastward. Northwest slopes closest to the divide will be most favored for any snow with these systems that come through. This should last into the first days of March. Meteorologist/ Chris Manly
