Holiday week outlook, changes coming in January!
Dec 22, 2017...
Best out west... Northern and Central Rocky Mountains, Big Sky to Steamboat, or head east to the UP of Michigan, and New England!

("Filmora" will be gone soon...)

A trough of low pressure remains over the central and eastern US for much of the holiday period into early January, with some powder days for the UP of Michigan through New England, and light to moderate but frequent snows (to keep the slopes freshened up) for the Northern and Central Rocky Mountains primarily. Places like Big Sky and Jackson Hole will fare best, Steamboat is looking pretty good, even Alta and environs in Utah will see some moderate snowfalls at times, but until this freakishly persistent high pressure ridge over the easter Pacific disappears, and it will in early January, we are stuck with a dry southwestern US.
