Updated Discussion Saturday Oct 16, 2021 -

Today and Sunday a high-pressure ridge holds over the area, with mild temperatures, chilly nights, great leaf-peeping weather.

The ridge is breaking down by Monday with the approach of the next shot of snow in the form of a low-pressure system. Snow showers develop in Aspen, with some accumulation, Monday night and Tuesday, snow levels lower than 8,000 feet, and mostly light accumulations for Aspen.

A high-pressure ridge is building in for Wednesday and Thursday with some warming temperatures after a chilly Wednesday through Thursday morning. Fall is definitely here.

LONGER RANGE

High pressure ridging and mostly sunny weather are expected for a while, through the 25th of October.

Low pressure and snow are expected more frequently, starting the 25th/ 26th. Meteorologist/ Chris Manly.
