This does not include the Middle Fork of the Feather or the Pit River in Lassen County. * WHERE...A portion of northeast California, including the following counties, Lassen, Plumas and Sierra. * WHEN...Until noon PST Saturday. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding along low lying areas near the Susan River in and downstream of Susanville, as well as near other creeks, streams, urban areas. Rock and debris may cover roads especially near or below recent burn areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 332 PM PST, Rounds of high elevation snow and heavy rain are forecast today through Saturday morning before transitioning to snow. - Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are expected over the area. The Susan River has been rising quickly as of 3 PM PST Friday afternoon and additional rainfall will cause flooding to be likely. The next river forecast update will be around 8 PM PST. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Water over roadways. Ponding of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is imminent. Increasing water levels along streams and creeks with enhanced runoff in the Park Fire burn scar. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 901 AM PST, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated heavy rain. Minor flooding is already occurring in the advisory area. Between 3 and 10 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts up to 4 inches are expected over the area.
