...HEAT ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 10 PM PDT SUNDAY...

* WHAT...High temperatures of 102 to 108 and low temperatures of 65
  to 80 expected, with Moderate to Major HeatRisk.

* WHERE...The Sacramento and San Joaquin Valleys, Foothills, Coast
  Range, and Sierra north of Highway 50

* WHEN...Until 10 PM PDT Sunday.

* IMPACTS...Hot temperatures may cause heat illnesses, especially
  anyone without effective cooling and/or adequate hydration.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...The heat is expected to peak today and
  Sunday, with areas of Major HeatRisk. Hottest temperatures and
  warmest overnight lows expected in the northern Sacramento Valley
  and Sierra foothills thermal belts.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of
the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.

Take extra precautions when outside. Wear lightweight and loose
fitting clothing. Try to limit strenuous activities to early morning
or evening. Take action when you see symptoms of heat exhaustion and
heat stroke.
