...WINTER STORM WATCH IN EFFECT ABOVE 5000 FEET FROM LATE WEDNESDAY
NIGHT THROUGH LATE THURSDAY NIGHT...

* WHAT...Heavy snow possible. Most likely total snow accumulations
  of 4 to 8 inches above 5000 feet with 1 to 2 feet above pass
  level. Southwest winds could gust as high as 50 mph.

* WHERE...West Slope Northern Sierra Nevada and Western Plumas
  County/Lassen Park above 5000 feet.

* WHEN...From late Wednesday night through late Thursday night.

* IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult above 5000 feet. The
  hazardous conditions could impact the Thursday morning and evening
  commutes. Gusty winds could bring down tree branches.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Low confidence on exact timing and snow
  amounts. Check back frequently for updates on the forecast.
