There is a 30 to 50 percent chance for scattered thunderstorms tonight in far southeast Nebraska and southwest Iowa. Small hail will be possible under any stronger storms, though should remain under one inch in diameter. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Wednesday through Monday. Rain chances (80 to 100 percent chance) increase Wednesday into Thursday, with strong to severe storms again possible in southeast Nebraska and southwest Iowa. Hail up to one inch in diameter, wind gusts up to 60 mph, and a brief tornado are all possible in this area. For areas farther north, showers and non-severe thunderstorms are expected, with a few snowflakes possible in northeast Nebraska. Winter weather impacts are not expected. Additional thunderstorm chances (60 to 80 percent) return on Friday, primarily in southeast Nebraska and southwest Iowa.
