This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of central Iowa.

.DAY ONE...Today and tonight

Rounds of scattered thunderstorms are forecast today. The first
round over western into northeastern Iowa may contain large hail
this morning into early this afternoon. Then, additional storms
will develop over southwestern Iowa this afternoon and move
across the state with large hail, damaging winds, and a few
tornadoes possible into this evening. The highest risk is in
southern Iowa, roughly south of I-80.

Pockets of heavy rain could also lead to ponding and flooding,
particularly in urban areas. Recent heavy rains will lead to
within bank rises on some area rivers and streams. Minor flooding
of low lying areas may also occur.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday

No hazardous weather is expected at this time.
