This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of north central
Illinois...northeast Illinois and northwest Indiana.

.DAY ONE...This Afternoon and Tonight.

Weather hazards expected...

  Significant Thunderstorm Risk...with an associated:
    Level 3 of 5 Large Hail Risk...possibly over 2 inches in diameter.
    Level 3 of 5 Damaging Wind Risk...up to 65 mph.
  Limited Flooding Risk well south of I-80.

DISCUSSION...

Thunderstorms will develop this afternoon, and continue through at
least mid evening south of I-80. The strongest storms will be
capable of producing hail, potentially larger than 2 inches in
diameter, as well as damaging wind in excess of 60 mph. The
greatest severe threat exists generally near and south of I-80.
The tornado threat remains low, and confined to the US-24 vicinity
prior to 6 PM.

Additionally, the potential of repeated thunderstorms moving over
the same area south of the Kankakee River Valley late afternoon
through the evening may result in some localized flooding.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday.

Saturday and Sunday...
  Elevated Fire Weather Risks, mainly west of the Fox Valley.
Monday through Wednesday...
  Limited Thunderstorm Risk at times.

  Spotters will likely be needed this afternoon and evening.

  Moving toward the east at 50 to 60 mph.
