Flooding is occurring on some of our rivers. See the latest Flood
Warnings for details.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Thursday through Tuesday.

Strong wind gusts may lead to additional downed trees and limbs
from recent ice storm damage on Thursday.

Potential river flooding near area rivers may continue into this
weekend.

Fog, locally dense, will impact portions of northern lower
Michigan tonight, including portions of Interstate 75.
Visibilities will be reduced down to one-quarter mile at times.

Travelers may need extra time to reach their destination this
morning. Slow down, and leave extra space between yourself and the
vehicle in front of you.

Michigan...

  Rifle River near Sterling affecting Arenac County.

  Manistee River near Sherman affecting Wexford County.

For the Rifle River...including Sterling...Minor flooding is
forecast.
For the Manistee River...including Sherman...Moderate flooding is
forecast.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

...FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE...

* WHAT...Moderate flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is
  forecast.

* WHERE...Manistee River near Sherman.

* WHEN...Until further notice.

* IMPACTS...At 16.0 feet, Flooding of property and homes adjacent to
  right bank of river along Ojibway Drive, Ottawa Drive, and
  Chippewa Drive 1 mile north of Sherman.  Flooding of N11 Road
  between W14 Road and W16 Road 1 mile northwest of Mesick.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 7:30 PM EDT Wednesday the stage was 16.2 feet.
  - Bankfull stage is 14.0 feet.
  - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
    ending at 7:30 PM EDT Wednesday was 16.2 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 16.2
    feet just after midnight tonight.
  - Flood stage is 15.0 feet.
  - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of
    16.4 feet on 06/14/2008.
