...WINTER STORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 1 AM EST TUESDAY...

* WHAT...Heavy blowing and drifting snow. Additional snow
  accumulations between 6 and 9 inches with localize 12 inches
  possible. Winds gusting as high as 55 mph.

* WHERE...A portion of Northern Lower Michigan.

* WHEN...Until 1 AM EST Tuesday.

* IMPACTS...Strong winds and ice accumulations on power lines and
  tree limbs may cause local power outages. Gusty winds will likely
  result in localized blizzard conditions, making travel dangerous
  and potentially life-threatening.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If you must travel, keep an extra flashlight, food, and water in
your vehicle in case of an emergency.

This hazardous weather outlook is for Eastern Upper Michigan and
Northern Lower Michigan.

.DAY ONE...Today and tonight.

Major winter storm impacting northern Michigan through tonight,
bringing strong winds with gusts 40-50+ mph leading to localized
blizzard conditions, and heavy accumulating snow. Strong winds and
ice accumulations on power lines and tree limbs may cause local
power outages. The greatest potential for significant snow is
across eastern upper Michigan and the traditional snow belt
locations of northwest lower Michigan. Please see the latest

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Tuesday through Sunday.

Periodic chances for accumulating lake enhanced snow will continue
through next week.
