A Flood Watch has been issued. Thunderstorms are possible tonight. A few may be strong to marginally severe in the far west tonight with gusty winds and hail. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday The combination of warm, moist air contributing to snowmelt and moderate to locally heavy rain into Friday will result in renewed flooding concerns for low-lying areas, streams, and rivers over the western half of the UP. A Flood Watch has been issued. .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT... Spotters are encouraged to report any observed flooding to the National Weather Service in Marquette. of homes near Bengtson bridge on County Road LI in South Republic
At 8.5 feet, Water begins to cover County Road LG 2.6 miles
northwest of M-95
At 9.0 feet, Water impacts the yards and a few homes near Bengtson
bridge on County Road LI in South Republic and along Floodwood
Drive near the Michigamme River east of M-95. Approximately 6
inches of water is covering portions of County Road LG northwest
of M-95
At 11.0 feet, Flood waters cover significant portions of County
Road LG between M-95 and Michigamme Dam. Houses near Bengtson
Bridge in South Republic are further impacted by flood waters
At 13.0 feet, Homes in Republic near Munson Park...South Republic
near Bengtson Bridge...and Witch Lake are significantly flooded.
Significant portions of County Roads 601...LG...LE and Newberg
road are flooded
