A few inches of snow and sleet, as well as a couple of tenths of an inch of ice, are possible tonight through Thursday night. For more information, see the latest Winter Weather Message and Area Forecast Discussion. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Thursday through Tuesday Heavy mixed precipitation is possible Thursday through Thursday night. The north half of the UP may see 3-5 inches with the Keweenaw potentially seeing over 6 inches of snow. The south half could see up to 2 inches of snow and sleet. In addition to the snow, ice accumulations of one to two tenths of an inch are possible across the UP, except for the high terrain of Baraga and Marquette Counties where up to four tenths of an inch are possible. Some minor lakeshore flooding and beach erosion is possible along the east-facing side of the Keweenaw Thursday. Mixed wintry precipitation, especially freezing rain, is also becoming increasingly likely this weekend as another low pressure lifts into the region.
