After the cold front moves through, expect the transition over to light lake enhanced snow showers over the north wind snow belts. As of right now though, accumulations are expected to be light; less than an inch of snow over the north wind snow belts save for maybe two inches in the Keweenaw, and up to a tenth of an inch of ice (highest in the higher terrain of Marquette County). .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Wednesday through Monday Accumulating snowfall and ice are possible over the Upper Peninsula late Wednesday into Friday. Snowfall amounts of greater than 6 inches are around 10% in the north central and west to 40% in the Keweenaw, whereas ice amounts of greater than a tenth of an inch range from 40 to 70% across the U.P. Mixed wintry precipitation is becoming increasingly likely this weekend as another low pressure lifts into the region. .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT... Spotters are encouraged to submit snowfall and ice reports to the National Weather Service via phone, on our website, or through social media. $$
