This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of central Upper
Michigan and western Upper Michigan.

.DAY ONE...Tonight

Moderate lake effect snowfall is possible over the north wind snow
belts early this evening, mainly near Ironwood.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday

A low pressure emerging from the Rockies will arrive in the region
late Saturday night through the beginning of the week, bringing
potentially record-breaking snowfall to the UP, with widespread
snow totals potentially around 1 to 3 feet. See the latest Winter

Lakeshore flooding and beach erosion is possible along Lake
Superior Sunday through Monday.

...WINTER STORM WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM LATE SATURDAY NIGHT
THROUGH MONDAY EVENING...

* WHAT...For the Winter Storm Warning, heavy snow. Additional snow
  accumulations up to one inch. For the Winter Storm Watch, heavy
  snow possible. Total snow accumulations between 1 and 3 feet
  possible. Winds could gust as high as 40 mph.

* WHERE...Iron County.

* WHEN...For the Winter Storm Warning, until 1 PM CDT this
  afternoon. For the Winter Storm Watch, from late Saturday night
  through Monday evening.

* IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult to impossible. Blowing
  snow will significantly reduce visibility. The hazardous
  conditions will impact the Monday commutes.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Power outages are possible early next week
  due to the strong winds.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If you must travel, keep an extra flashlight, food, and water in
your vehicle in case of an emergency. Prepare for possible power
outages.
