Snow will taper off to light snow showers through early afternoon. Snowbelt areas of Ashland and Iron County may pick up an additional 1 to 3 inches, with lower totals expected elsewhere. Winter Weather Advisories expire later this morning. Strong north to northwest winds will continue in the Arrowhead. Gusts up to 50 mph are forecast from near Lutsen to Grand Marais to Grand Portage early this morning. Winds will taper off through the afternoon. A Wind Advisory currently in effect for southern Cook County expires later this morning. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Tuesday through Sunday A fast-moving clipper will bring a round of accumulating snow to the Northland Tuesday. Snow accumulation of a dusting up to around 2 inches are expected. Lake-effect snow will persist over portions of northwest Wisconsin through Wednesday with several additional inches possible. Temperatures dip into the teens below zero Wednesday night and Thursday morning with wind chill values of 20 to 40 below zero. Frostbite can develop on exposed skin in 10 to 30 minutes at these wind chills. .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...
