High water levels in portions of the Minnesota Arrowhead will gradually recede today and waters may see a slight rise again overnight. Localized minor flooding is possible. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Monday through Saturday Severe storms are possible Monday afternoon and early Tuesday south of a line from Pine River to Duluth to Hayward. Rainfall Monday and early Tuesday may cause additional minor flooding. .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT... ...FLOOD WATCH IN EFFECT FROM MONDAY MORNING THROUGH TUESDAY
MORNING...
* WHAT...Flooding caused by rain and snowmelt is possible.
* WHERE...In Minnesota, Cook and Lake Counties. This includes the
Tribal Lands of the Grand Portage Reservation.This also includes
the Boundary Waters eastern and central area.
* WHEN...From Monday morning through Tuesday morning.
* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- Around 1 to 2 inches of rain is expected to fall. Eastern
Cook County also has several inches of lingering snowpack.
While rainfall rates are not expected to be heavy, prolonged
moderate rainfall on top of saturated soils and should lead
to runoff. Area rivers and streams are already running at
elevated levels and could rise to minor flooding levels with
runoff due to the additional rainfall.

You should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible Flood
Warnings. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be prepared
