This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of northeast
Minnesota and northwest Wisconsin.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight

Areas of freezing drizzle may produce a glaze of ice across the
Borderlands and Minnesota Arrowhead. A Winter Weather Advisory is
in effect.

Freezing fog tonight may reduce visibility down to one quarter
mile in places and create a very thin glaze of ice on elevated or
untreated surfaces.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Sunday through Friday

Moderate to heavy snow is expected Sunday into Monday, with the
highest accumulations of 6 inches or more along the I-35 corridor
and east across Northwest Wisconsin where a Winter Storm Watch is
in effect. Locally higher totals are expected on the South Shore.
Strong northwest winds with gusts of 30 to 50 mph may lead to
blowing and drifting snow and reduce visibility.

Temperatures will trend below zero at night starting Sunday
night. Wind chills of 20 to 30 below zero are forecast Monday
morning and then each morning from Wednesday through Friday.
Frostbite can develop on exposed skin in 10 to 30 minutes at
these wind chills.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Snow spotters are requested to report precipitation type, and
measurements of snow or ice accumulations today and tonight to
the National Weather Service. Spotters and the public can also
report precipitation type with the free M-PING smartphone app.
