This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of northeast
Minnesota and northwest Wisconsin.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight

Temperatures dip into the single digits and teens below zero
this morning with wind chill values of 20 to 30 below zero in
northern Minnesota. Frostbite can develop on exposed skin in as
little as 10 to 30 minutes at those values. A Cold Weather
Advisory is in effect for the far northeast Minnesota Arrowhead.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday

The probability for widespread hazardous weather is low.

...COLD WEATHER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 10 AM CST THIS
MORNING...
...WIND ADVISORY IS CANCELLED...

* WHAT...Very cold wind chills as low as 35 below zero.

* WHERE...Southern Cook County. This includes the Tribal Lands of
  the Grand Portage Reservation.

* WHEN...Until 10 AM CST this morning.

* IMPACTS...The dangerously cold wind chills as low as 30 below zero
  could cause frostbite on exposed skin in as little as 10 minutes.
  Frostbite and hypothermia will occur if unprotected skin is
  exposed to these temperatures.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Use caution while traveling outside. Wear appropriate clothing, a
hat, and gloves.

Make frequent checks on older family, friends, and neighbors. Ensure
portable heaters are used correctly. Do not use generators or grills
inside.

Pay particular attention to people celebrating the New Year outdoors
and ensure everyone makes it back indoors safely, including anyone
traveling home after festivities.
