This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for northwest Iowa, west central
Iowa, southwest Minnesota, northeast Nebraska, east central South
Dakota and southeast South Dakota.

.DAY ONE...Today and tonight.

Hazardous weather is not expected at this time.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Thursday through Tuesday.

A light wintry mix will be possible in portions of southwest
Minnesota and northwest Iowa Thursday morning. Any snow or ice
accumulation should be minimal. Mild temperatures and gusty winds
will then result in elevated fire danger along and west of I-29 by
Thursday afternoon.

Snow showers and strong northwest winds develop Thursday night
and Friday. Wind gusts of 40 to 50 mph will be common, with brief
stronger wind gusts possible. Snowfall amounts are expected to be
light, perhaps around an inch in some areas north of I-90 and less
than an inch elsewhere. However, any falling snow combined with the
strong winds may produce significantly reduced visibility at times.

Colder air settles into the region this weekend into early next week
with nighttime to early morning wind chills in the teens to lower 20s
below zero over the weekend.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Spotter activation is not expected at this time.
