This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of northeast
Minnesota and northwest Wisconsin.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight

Isolated thunderstorms are likely today and tonight. A few strong
to severe storms are possible with hail up to penny size and wind
gusts of 40-60 mph. Locally heavy rain which may lead to ponding
on roads and frequent cloud-to-ground lightning are also possible.
There is a level 1 of 5 risk for severe storms inland from Lake
Superior from north-central Minnesota to the Brainerd Lakes to
northwest Wisconsin.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday

Additional rounds of thunderstorms are forecast through the
holiday weekend and into next week. A few storms may be strong.
Widespread severe weather is not anticipated at this time.

Strong northeast winds will increase the threat of rip currents
on Independence Day for areas near the Twin Ports, including the
beaches of Duluth and Superior.

rainfall amounts to the National Weather Service.
