Hazardous Weather Outlook National Weather Service Duluth MN 935 PM CDT Sun Mar 15 2026 MNZ010>012-018>021-025-026-033>038-WIZ001>004-006>009-170245- Koochiching-North St. Louis-Northern Cook/Northern Lake- North Itasca-Central St. Louis-Southern Lake/North Shore- Southern Cook/North Shore-North Cass-South Itasca-South Cass- Crow Wing-Northern Aitkin-South Aitkin-Carlton/South St. Louis- Pine-Douglas-Bayfield-Ashland-Iron-Burnett-Washburn-Sawyer-Price- 935 PM CDT Sun Mar 15 2026 This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of northeast Minnesota and northwest Wisconsin. .DAY ONE...Tonight The ongoing winter storm will continue to affect east-central Minnesota for the remainder of this evening and northwest Wisconsin through tonight, creating difficult to hazardous travel conditions. Hazards include heavy snow, strong winds and blizzard or near blizzard conditions. Travel plans which extend to the south tonight will be difficult to dangerous. Strong north to northwest winds gusting up to 55 to 60 mph are expected to develop tonight in southern Lake and Cook Counties. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Monday through Saturday Heavy snow, gusty winds, and blizzard to near blizzard conditions continue Monday morning for north-central Wisconsin. Snow will gradually be tapering off by Monday afternoon and evening across northwest Wisconsin. Strong north to northwest winds gusting to 55 to 60 mph linger Monday morning into early afternoon for southern Lake and Cook Counties before gradually weakening late Monday. Colder air and strong winds will result in wind chill values in the 15 to 25 degrees below zero range Monday morning and possibly again Tuesday morning. .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...
