The wintry mix and freezing rain will be most likely east of the I-35 corridor into northwest Wisconsin. Precipitation ends from south to north late this evening into tonight. Additional snow amounts through tonight will range from 1 to 5 inches in northwest Wisconsin to 5 to 10 inches in north-central and northeast Minnesota, highest along the North Shore. Ice amounts from a light glaze to around 0.25 inches are possible in northwest Wisconsin, highest in Price County. Strong wind gusts up to 30-40 mph near Lake Superior could lead to some blowing and drifting of snow as well as reduced visibility. Winter Weather Advisories and Winter Storm Warnings are in effect. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday A second round of wet, heavy snow and mixed precipitation, including freezing rain, is forecast for Friday afternoon through Saturday night. The highest potential for at least one tenth of an inch is from the I-35 corridor east into northwest Wisconsin. Heavy, wet snow accumulations will be highest in north-central Minnesota and along the North Shore. Travel impacts are likely with this system leading into the Easter weekend.
