Maine and northern New Hampshire.

   Extreme Cold Watch.

A few heavy snow showers or snow squalls are possible late Thursday
morning through Thursday afternoon.

The coldest air of the season is increasingly likely over the
upcoming weekend with temperatures and wind chills in the double
digits below zero possible.

...EXTREME COLD WATCH IN EFFECT FROM LATE FRIDAY NIGHT THROUGH
SATURDAY MORNING...

* WHAT...Dangerously cold wind chills as low as 40 below possible.

* WHERE...In Maine, Central Somerset, Northern Franklin, and
  Northern Oxford Counties. In New Hampshire, Northern Coos,
  Northern Grafton, Southern Coos, and Southern Grafton Counties.

* WHEN...From late Friday night through Saturday morning.

* IMPACTS...The dangerously cold wind chills as low as 40 below zero
  could cause frostbite on exposed skin in as little as 10 minutes.
  Frostbite and hypothermia will occur if unprotected skin is
  exposed to these temperatures.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Dress in layers including a hat, face mask, and gloves if you must
go outside.
