A wintry mix of snow, sleet, freezing rain and rain is expected to move into the area today. Light snow accumulations are possible for most of the region. Some minor ice accumulations may occur, mainly in the higher elevations, but questions remain with how long the cold air remains in place along with precipitation onset timing. This will impact when the wintry mix develops. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Wednesday through Monday. A period of warmth with occasional rain is expected late this week into next week. Melting snow coupled with some rainfall may cause rivers to rise significantly from Wednesday through Sunday or beyond. The risk for ice jams and minor flooding will be increasing over the next several days. .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...
