This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for central New York.

.DAY ONE...Today and tonight.

A wintry mix of snow, sleet, freezing rain and rain is expected to
move into the area today. Light snow accumulations are possible for
most of the region. Some minor ice accumulations may occur, mainly in
the higher elevations, but questions remain with how long the cold
air remains in place along with precipitation onset timing. This will
impact when the wintry mix develops.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Wednesday through Monday.

A period of warmth with occasional rain is expected late this week
into next week. Melting snow coupled with some rainfall may cause
rivers to rise significantly from Wednesday through Sunday or
beyond.
The risk for ice jams and minor flooding will be increasing over the
next several days.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Weather spotters are encouraged to report significant weather
conditions according to Standard Operating Procedures. Please relay
any information about severe weather to the NWS.
