...HIGH WIND WARNING NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL 8 AM EDT SATURDAY...

* WHAT...West winds 35 to 45 mph with gusts up to 65 to 70 mph.

* WHERE...Chautauqua County.

* WHEN...Until 8 AM EDT Saturday. The strongest wind gusts are
  expected tonight.

* IMPACTS...Damaging winds will blow down trees and power lines.
  Scattered to widespread power outages are expected. Travel will be
  difficult, especially for high profile vehicles.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Avoid being outside in forested areas and around trees. If possible,
remain in the lower levels of your home during the windstorm, and
avoid windows. Use caution if you must drive.

Another round of strong winds is possible Monday through Monday
night as strong low pressure crosses the Great Lakes. Much colder
air will move back into the region Tuesday through Tuesday night,
with accumulating lake effect snow possible east of Lake Ontario and
Lake Erie.

* WHAT...Snow expected. Total snow accumulations 3 to 6 inches.
  Winds gusting as high as 60 mph will produce patchy blowing snow.

* WHERE...Chautauqua County.

* WHEN...From 5 PM this afternoon to 8 AM EDT Saturday.

* IMPACTS...Travel will be difficult. Strong winds with blowing snow
  will limit visibilities at times and cause instances of tree
  damage and power outages.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Periods of snow will result in snow covered roads and limited
visibilities. Slow down and use caution while driving.
