This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for northern New York, central Vermont, northeast Vermont, northwest Vermont and southern Vermont. .DAY ONE...This afternoon and tonight. Hazardous weather is not expected at this time. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Thursday through Tuesday. Please listen to NOAA Weather Radio or go to weather.gov on the Internet for more information about the following hazards. Wind Advisory. A strong area of low pressure will bring widespread rainfall and the potential for strong gusty winds tomorrow. Southeasterly winds tomorrow morning into early tomorrow afternoon could gust between 45-55 MPH, particularly in the northern Champlain Valley, western facing slopes of the central and northern Greens, and the northern slopes of the Adirondacks. Winds will remain strong in northern New York tomorrow afternoon with channeled southwesterly winds in the St. Lawrence Valley. Additionally, isolated to scattered strong to severe thunderstorms will be possible with the potential for damaging wind gusts. Tree limbs could be blown down with isolated to scattered power outages possible. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...The strongest winds will be between 9 AM and 1 PM, especially in the northern Champlain Valley and northern slopes of the Adirondacks, with another round of strong winds in northern New York between 3 PM and 8 PM. Fully leafed out trees may result in more tree damage than with similar wind speeds during the colder months of the year. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
