Hazardous weather is not expected at this time. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Thursday through Tuesday. Scattered snow showers and snow squalls will be possible late Thursday morning and Thursday afternoon. With the cold temperatures and gusty winds up to 40 mph untreated roads could quickly become snow covered, icy and slippery with any snow squalls that do form. .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT... WAYNE...WYOMING...SUSQUEHANNA...NORTHERN WAYNE...LUZERNE...
LACKAWANNA...AND PIKE COUNTIES...
HAZARDS...A band of heavy snow accompanied by winds of up to 30 MPH
which can rapidly reduce visibility to less than one mile. Snow can
stick on the road, and combined with gusty winds and low visibility,
travel could be hazardous.
LOCATION AND MOVEMENT...At 1132 PM EST, a band of heavy snow was
along a line extending from near Equinunk to near Sweet Valley and
moving southeast at 30 MPH.
LOCATIONS IMPACTED INCLUDE...
Scranton, Wilkes-Barre, Falls, Dunmore, Kingston, Nanticoke, Plains,
Carbondale, Old Forge, and Pittston.

heavy snow. Rapid changes in visibility and potentially slick roads
may lead to accidents.
