...Localized heavy lake effect snow bands this evening...

Snow showers, and lake effect snow bands have set up across the
region early this evening. Snow could be locally heavy at times,
reducing visibility down to 1/4 mile at times. This coupled with
the gusty winds, blowing snow and cold temperatures will create
snow covered and slippery road conditions. Localized accumulations
of 1 to 2 inches will be possible through 8 PM EST.

If you are traveling this evening be prepared for rapidly
changing weather and road conditions. Plan some extra time to
reach your destination safely.
