A late-winter system continues to move through the region this morning bringing periods of rain, wet snowfall, and wintry mix. Periods of light to moderate rain are expected this morning with additional accumulations of a 0.50" to 0.75" expected with the potential for upwards of an inch east of Highway-75 .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday. A second strong system will bring additional periods of rain, accumulating snowfall, and wintry mix to the region from Friday into Saturday. While a couple inches of snow will be possible north of a Chamberlain to Madison to Marshall, MN line; the main concern continues to be in the potential for widespread icing north of I-90. Make sure to follow your local forecast for updates. Could see a few isolated thunderstorms develop across northwestern IA by Friday morning.
