As snow tapers to showers early this morning, much colder air will spread into the region on breezy northwest winds. Last night`s snow accumulation and patchy blowing snow could make for a slippery Monday morning commute. Motorists are urged to use caution and remain alert for changing road conditions. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Tuesday through Sunday. After a light snowfall event late Tuesday, more widespread snow is expected across Vermont and northern New York Wednesday and Wednesday night. Daytime temperatures may allow a bit of rain to mix in the Champlain and Connecticut Valleys Wednesday afternoon, but the bulk of the precipitation will fall as snow. A general 1 to 4 inches of snowfall is expected, with 4 to 7 inches possible across the higher terrain of the Greens and Adirondacks.
