...EXTREME HEAT WARNING IN EFFECT FROM 10 AM WEDNESDAY TO 8 PM EDT
FRIDAY...

* WHAT...Dangerously hot conditions with heat index values of 105 to
  111 expected.

* WHERE...Portions of northwestern Connecticut, western
  Massachusetts, east central and eastern New York, and southern
  Vermont.

* WHEN...From 10 AM Wednesday to 8 PM EDT Friday.

* IMPACTS...Heat related illnesses increase significantly during
  extreme heat and high humidity events.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...There will not be much relief at night, with
  low temperatures in the 70s along with humid conditions persisting
  across much of the area Wednesday night and Thursday night.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of
the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.

Stay cool, stay hydrated, stay informed.

If you do not have air conditioning in your home or lack shelter,
you can call 211 for assistance locating appropriate shelter from
the heat.
