Strong winds to 45 to 55 mph, heavy snow with snowfall rates of 2 to 4 inches per hour, and visibilities around or below 1/4 mile due to heavy snow or blizzard conditions will significantly impact travel tonight. Additional snow accumulation between tonight and Monday morning will be in the 7 to 16 inch range, with the highest totals in far northeast WI. The strong winds combined with the heavy snow will result in tree damage with power outages expected. Much colder air will work into the region tonight, with wind chill readings falling into the single digits below zero across the north to around zero across east-central WI will create dangerous condition if stranded. A Blizzard Warning is in effect until 4 pm Monday. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Monday through Sunday The historic winter storm will continue to bring moderate snowfall to northeast WI on Monday, before tapering off late Monday afternoon. Blizzard or near blizzard conditions are expected in the morning should gradually improve during the afternoon. The storm will go down in the record books producing a widespread 1 to 2 feet of snow with isolated amounts up to around 30 inches. Bitter cold temperatures arrive Monday morning, with wind chill readings from 10 below zero north to around zero over east- central WI. Additional snow accumulations between 8 and 10 inches and ice accumulations around a light glaze. Winds gusting as high as 50 mph. * WHERE...Manitowoc and Kewaunee Counties. * WHEN...Until 4 PM CDT Monday. * IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult to impossible. Widespread blowing snow could significantly reduce visibility. The hazardous conditions will impact the Monday morning commute.
