The greatest potential for accumulating snow will be over northern Wisconsin where a Winter Weather Advisory is in effect. If the switch from rain to snow occurs earlier, several inches of wet snow could occur tonight. Where rain falls on melting snow and frozen ground, there is a potential for minor flooding in low-lying areas and where street drains are clogged with ice and snow, and also along rivers. There will be a potential for ice jams as well. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday Another system will impact the region late Friday night through Saturday night. There is a chance of a plowable snow of at least a couple inches across the entire area. .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT... Spotters are requested to forward hazardous road conditions and snowfall amounts to the National Weather Service in Green Bay. $$

.Heavy rain late this afternoon through this evening will fall on a
melting snowpack and partially frozen ground and frozen rivers
leading to the quick runoff. Flows in some rivers will increase
quickly, leading to the potential of minor flooding and increasing
the potential for ice jams.

* WHAT...Flooding caused by rain and snowmelt is possible.
* WHERE...Portions of central, east central, north central, and
northeast Wisconsin, including the following areas, in central
Wisconsin, Marathon, Portage, Waushara and Wood. In east central
Wisconsin, Calumet and Winnebago. In north central Wisconsin,
Langlade. In northeast Wisconsin, Brown, Door, Menominee, Northern
Oconto County, Outagamie, Shawano, Southern Marinette County,
Southern Oconto County and Waupaca.
* WHEN...Through Friday morning.
* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in minor flooding of
low-lying and poor-drainage locations, including urban areas. Storm
drains and ditches that are clogged with ice and snow may lead to
flooding of adjacent roads. Minor flooding could occur on rivers,
streams and creeks, including the potential for ice jams.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- Rain may mix with snow over central and northern WI, which will
impact how much minor flooding occurs.
