...FLOOD WATCH NOW IN EFFECT THROUGH TUESDAY MORNING...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by rain and snowmelt continues to be
  possible.

* WHERE...In Wisconsin, Ashland, Bayfield and Iron Counties. This
  includes the Tribal Lands of the Red Cliff Band, the northwestern
  county of the Lac du Flambeau Band and the Bad River Reservation.
  Other locations including the Apostle Islands National Lakeshore
  and Madeline Island.

* WHEN...Through Tuesday morning.

* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
  creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
  Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

You should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible Flood
Warnings. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be prepared

...Forecast flooding changed from Minor to Moderate severity for the
following rivers in Wisconsin...

  Tyler Forks near Mellen affecting northeastern Ashland and
  northwestern Iron Counties.

.Heavy rain on top of the existing snowpack will increase the rate
of snowmelt. The resultant runoff will cause water levels in area
rivers to increase and flooding is expected.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive
cars through flooded areas.

...FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL THURSDAY MORNING...

* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is
  forecast.

* WHERE...Tyler Forks near Mellen.

* WHEN...Until Thursday morning.

* IMPACTS...At 9.8 feet, ST HWY 169 is likely impacted by flood
  water.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 9:30 AM CDT Monday the stage was 9.4 feet.
  - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
    ending at 9:30 AM CDT Monday was 9.4 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 10.3
    feet tomorrow morning. It will then fall below flood stage
    early Thursday morning.
  - Flood stage is 9.0 feet.
  - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of
    10.4 feet on 05/18/2017.
  - Flood safety information can be found at

This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of northeast
Minnesota and northwest Wisconsin.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight

Patchy dense fog is possible this morning, mainly in the
Arrowhead.

Severe storms this afternoon and evening may bring very large
hail up to the size of golf balls to inland northwest Wisconsin
and east-central Minnesota. There is also a potential for
damaging wind gusts and heavy rainfall in northwest Wisconsin.
There is a very low potential for a tornado in southern Sawyer and
Price counties. The timeframe of severe storm potential is 4 PM to
1 AM.

Rain falling on melting snow pack may lead to minor flooding for
area rivers along the North and South Shore, particularly the
South Shore. A Flood Watch is in effect for Bayfield, Ashland, and
Iron Counties.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Tuesday through Sunday

A few rumbles of thunder are possible Tuesday morning in northern
Minnesota.

Another round of thunderstorms is possible Wednesday afternoon and
evening. Small hail could occur in northwest Wisconsin.

Additional thunderstorms are possible on Friday, with the
potential for strong to severe thunderstorms in northwest
Wisconsin.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Skywarn spotters may be needed this afternoon and evening.
