Daytime heat indices could reach the 90s and may even briefly touch
100 degrees today with little in the way of precipitation or
overnight temperature relief.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday.

100 degrees Friday into Saturday with little in the way of
precipitation or overnight temperature relief.

The July 4th weekend features increased thunderstorm chances that
could contain a severe hazard risk. Be aware of this potential and
monitor the latest forecast.

...HEAT ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 10 PM EDT FRIDAY...

* WHAT...Heat index values up to 101 expected, with little relief
  overnight.

* WHERE...Eastern Preston, Eastern Tucker, and Western Tucker
  Counties.

* WHEN...Until 10 PM EDT Friday.

* IMPACTS...Hot temperatures and high humidity may cause heat
  illnesses.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of
the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.

Take extra precautions when outside. Wear lightweight and loose
fitting clothing. Try to limit strenuous activities to early morning
or evening. Take action when you see symptoms of heat exhaustion and
heat stroke.

To reduce risk during outdoor work, the Occupational Safety and
Health Administration recommends scheduling frequent rest breaks in
shaded or air conditioned environments. Anyone overcome by heat
should be moved to a cool and shaded location. Heat stroke is an
emergency! Call 9 1 1.
