..Next Monday through Wednesday we expect a taste of fall for southwest British Columbia, including Kingfisher Heli and Revelstoke, as another Gulf of Alaska low pressure system moves in with showers and some lower snow levels as 850mb/ 5,000 foot temperatures drop to 08c to 09c (46-48f), dropping snow levels to near 8,000 feet. Next Tuesday/ Wednesday (Sep 10th-11th), as 10,000 foot temperatures drop into the mid and upper 20's, dropping snow to 8,000 feet for the Kingfisher Heli operating area and Revelstoke Mountain Resort, along with the southern British Columbia Rocky Mountains (showers and rain are expected on Monday also), dusting the higher 8,000+ foot peaks with some early season snow, and cold rain expected, and 5 to 10cm+ (2-4+ inches) accumulation for the summit areas and peaks, even upper Revelstoke and Kingfisher AOO (Area Of Operation). This is not that unusual and some snow has already fallen, but this is another reminder of how fast winter is coming...
